Selangor FC will travel to Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium, Cheras tonight for the first #KlangValleyDerby of the season against rivals, Kuala Lumpur City FC (KLC) in the fifth match of the 2024/25 Malaysian Super League at 8:15PM tonight

This will be the 89th meeting between #KLCSFC. The Red Giants have won 53 matches and drawn 18 thus far. In addition, 165 goals have been scored from the meeting between these two teams.

Head Coach of Selangor FC, Nidzam Jamil, stated that the team is ready and wants to continue to be in the best position in the league.

"KL City is a very well-organised team. They also have some players who are able to become game-changers in critical moments. I want to put aside things that are going on behind the scenes because, overall, they have a pretty solid lineup with threatening players. I believe whatever the result may be, it will be decided on the field during the match later.

"For this 'Klang Valley Derby', I see the players are highly motivated and ready to continue the fight tonight. For me, we are determined to put ourselves in the best possivle position in the league," said Nidzam Jamil.

As for the player's availability, Alexander Agyarkwa could not be with the team as he is suspended after being sent off during the #LS4 game against Perak FC. Besides that, Umarbek Eshmurodov and Mukhairi Ajmal have recovered from their respective injuries and are likely to be with the team tonight.

The Selangor FC management believes in all the preparations that have been made for this Klang Valley Derby. We wish the team success. Come on, Red Giants!
